Fear Is Just A State Of Mind

Are you afraid because you were given information that you should be? Quite frankly, how could you not be afraid. The very medium we rely on to give us information we can believe in, is the so called “news media.”

In the ‘50s and ‘60s the news was far more reliable than today. There were journalists who took pride in fair and unbiased reporting. They weren’t perfect. Yet on the whole they stuck to standards. Those have been thrown to the curb today.

Those who would call themselves journalists now, have totally destroyed the meaning of journalism. Merriam-Webster defines it as: writing characterized by a direct presentation of facts or description of events without an attempt at interpretation. The key points there are presentation of facts without interpretation. That is also known as bias.

This has become like a definition of truth…whatever you want it to be. A fact is something that has actual existence. An actual occurrence. Action that really took place. A fable is something that is fictitious or not real. This is what, for the most part, journalism has become. Only enough fact to make the fictitious sound real.

The Lame Media Hasn’t Changed

So is it any wonder that you, the gullible public, are going around stressed to the max and scared spit-less? Now add to that the current COVID-19 Pandemic, and you have a real nightmare on hand!

If you listen to the lame media they haven’t changed in the least. Still trying everything to smear POTUS. Vilifying efforts clearly helping to deal with this crisis. In addition are you ignoring the directives to safeguard your safety and those around you. How?

By doing the opposite of what’s been indicated. Such as going out in public. Not observing safe practices with social distancing and more. Having gatherings greater than 10 people. Ignoring  observing safety measures. Basically a determination to pretend there is no danger. Foolish to say the least.

All those talking heads are really actors

The phrase “ignorance is bliss” comes to mind. This in relation to you who insist on demonstrating a rebellious attitude. Maybe you will be a little less blissful when it comes time to “pay the piper” with infection.

There could be a thought by some that this is just a great scheme. With intent to fool you into hysteria. That the numbers constantly seen on the news are not real. After all, aren’t you just seeing camera shots that are repeated throughout the day? Sorta like the Moon Landing so many claim is fake.

All those talking heads are really just actors. Nothing has really happened in China, S. Korea, Italy and Spain. It’s all just a big show done in a secret studio. Believing that can and will be life threatening, should you refuse to pay attention. That is something to be fearful about.

So how do you overcome fear

It will all come crashing down around some of those thinking like this. Relatives, friends, an acquaintance, co-worker, will fall victim. Or the unthinkable when it’s personal. Then it may be too late.

So how do you overcome this fear? That you could be next. It begins by using some common sense. If this threat were isolated just to the United States there could be cause for doubt. It’s not!

If you think that, try going to any nearby hospital or clinic. Maybe a call to the local funeral home to schedule a service might work. Chances they are backed up and may even be out of coffins. That should be shocking. At least you would be convinced this is no joke.

Next is how not to get infected. Simple. Face mask, gloves, wash hands frequently with soap, and clean constantly with alcohol. Another is to get tested. No so much to see if you’re infected. You could be asymptomatic and be a carrier with no symptoms. Better to find out than infect someone in your living environment.

If fear is knocking at your door…

If you should get infected fear won’t help. Follow all the instructions. One of the first things to consider might be Hydroxychloroquine. Yes it has been used for decades to treat Malaria. Lupus too. Tested and proven safe. Or you may just have the aches and discomfort, and nothing more.

Hopefully it will not lead to pneumonia or at last resort, a ventilator! In the meantime, here’s wishing and praying to your good health.

If fear is knocking at your door you have a choice to make. Ignore it and pretend it doesn’t exist, all the while hiding in your closet. Or, you can open the door. Know what you’re going to find? Noone’s there! Nothing fearful about that.
